Laura J. Liparoto

Laura Jean Liparoto, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 24, 2023, in her home in Monroe.

Born June 16, 1953 in Wyandotte, MI, Laura was one of six children of the late Earl “Beef” and Loretta (Patterson) Stewart. Laura graduated from Riverview High School in 1972.

Laura spent over 30 years working as a baker at Liparoto’s Bakery. Laura was known for being hardworking and for her famous pepperoni rolls.

Laura loved animals and had many dogs and cats over her lifetime. She was especially fond for her grandcats and granddogs. Most importantly, Laura loved her daughter: Katie. Laura would visit Katie and Laura’s son-in-law, David, often, and they loved watching movies, trying new foods, listening to music, and talking together.

Laura will be remembered for her continued personal growth, for her resilience, and for her nurturing character.

Laura was the beloved mother of Katie (David) Boeving; loving sister of Richard (Debbie) Stewart, Edward (Judy) Stewart, Earl (Marilyn) Stewart, Yvonne (Ernie) Ibarra, and Linda (Mark) Goodman; and is survived by her grandcats, Titan and Henry, and her granddogs, Lucy and Maybel.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by husband, Philip Liparoto; niece, Heidi (Stewart) Hoffman; and grandcat, Callisto.

All are invited to a visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home at 12 noon. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow services.
