Kyle Jay McLaughlin, age 38 of Carleton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Born September 27, 1983, in Wayne, MI. He is the son of Kenneth McLaughlin and Sheri (Sims) Felice. Kyle graduated from Michigan Automotive Academy in 2002. Kyle was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 687 for many years.

Kyle met and married the love of his life: Jamie Darmetko on May 2, 2009, in Rockwood. They raised their family and spent over 20 wonderful years together. Kyle was a man of wisdom, honor, and respect. As a team, both Kyle and Jamie made sure their children had everything a child could ever need. Kyle was a supportive man, a man who had a listening ear. An honest man, who would give the shirt off his back for his children, his family, and friends.

In his free time, you could find him on the golf course, building things around the house; such as the dog house or the lighthouse. Kyle could be found riding his tractor out in the backyard. He liked doing the yard work and being outdoors in nature. Kyle and his family have gone on several camping trips in which many memories were made.

Kyle will be remembered as a family man. He loved music, especially anything involving Michael Jackson. He had a laugh that was contagious and whoever met him, always remembered him for it. Kyle will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.

Beloved husband of Jamie McLaughlin. Loving father of Christopher Darmetko, Kayla Webster, and Kaden McLaughlin. Dearest son of Kenneth McLaughlin and Sheri Felice. Stepson of Fred Felice. Dear brother of Kenneth (Casey) McLaughlin and Kevin McLaughlin.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. Everyone is invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Family sharing will take place on Friday starting at 7:00 pm.
