Kevin Nicholas Brooks

Kevin Nicholas Brooks, a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on August 24, 2025, in Monroe, Michigan, at the age of 32. Born on April 1, 1993, in Toledo, Ohio, Kevin was known for his warm heart and never ending dedication to helping others.

Kevin was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 2011. He went on to pursue various careers, with his most recent as a tow truck driver with Star Towing. His kind and caring demeanor helped him thrive in his field, offering comfort and assistance to those in need during difficult circumstances. Previously, Kevin was a proud member of Local 50 Plumbers & Pipefitters in Toledo.

Outside of work, when not with family, Kevin enjoyed his free time and cherished opportunities to help those around him. He recently started attending the Monroe Nazarene Church, and recommitted his life to Christ.

Above all, Kevin cherished his family. He was a devoted father to his four sons: Kolton, Kaisen, Vincent, and Vance Brooks. His parents, Steven and Karen Brooks of Monroe, were his pillars of support. He was loved by his older siblings, Stephanie and Zachary Wade and Steven Brooks.  Kevin was also a fun and devoted uncle, affectionately known as Uncle Bugar to his nieces Madalynn, Annabel, Melaney, and Izzabel, and nephews Gannon and Conan.

Kevin is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Barnett; paternal grandparents, Pauline and Wintford Brooks; and uncle, Teddy Brooks.

Services to honor and celebrate Kevin's life will take place on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue until services commence at 5:00 p.m., which will conclude his celebration of life.

Memorial donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to his family, to be donated to a charity of their choosing. Kevin's generous spirit and love for helping others will continue to shine through these contributions.

Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his smile, love and devotion to God will continue to be a staple with this family forever.
