Kenneth Lee Wardell, 57 years, of Carleton, MI went home to the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The Son of Charles K. and Ivadell J. (Spotts) Wardell, he was born on November 18, 1965 in Monroe, MI.
Kenneth married his middle school sweetheart Julie Behers in 1986 and had ever since been a shining example to their friends and family on how two people can build a great life together. He was a great Son and Brother, an amazing Father and Husband, the perfect “Papa” to his grandchildren, and a helpful and generous friend to anyone who was lucky enough to know him.
To say that he was a jack-of-all-trades would be an understatement, as his talents were vast and impressive. There was no problem that he couldn’t find a creative solution for, no DIY project that he couldn’t master, and nothing that he couldn’t build or fix. He was a very loving and smart man, that had a knack for giving advice, and a unique perspective on any situation. He loved spending time with his family making memories, and his personality never shined brighter than when there was a family gathering. No matter the occasion, with him it was a good time.
He had many hobbies throughout his life. He was an avid hunter, golfer, enjoyed shooting guns, riding ATVs and almost every other powersport known to man. He spent most of his professional career building high dollar concept cars for SEMA, NAIAS, MTV and for global clients throughout Europe as well as the Sultan of Brunei. He was employed at Magna International at the time of his passing, as a Process Development Engineer.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Julie; children Ryan (Nichole) Wardell, Matthew (Tiffany) Wardell, and Nicholas Wardell; grandchildren Talen, Zoeie, Abram, Kinley, Parker, and Arianna; his mother, Ivadell, and his loving sister, Pamela (Thomas) Puccetti.. He was preceded in death by his father Charles K. Wardell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a service to follow at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S Custer Rd, Monroe, MI 48161.
