Kenneth Jennings Obituary

Kenneth Jennings

April 18, 1948 – October 21, 2024

Kenneth Jennings, age 76, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at ProMedica Monro Regional Hospital.

Born April 18, 1948, in Monroe, Kenneth was the son of the late Kenneth and Clarabel (Barron) Jennings. After graduating from high school, Kenneth joined the United States Army, where he served honorably during the Vietnam War. In May of 1973, he married Debora Jean Geyman and together they raised three daughters. Sadly, after 50 years of marriage, Debora passed. Kenneth made his living as a Carpenter, United Brotherhood Detroit Carpenters, Local 687.

Kenneth was a faithful and loving husband. Although he liked to be tough on the outside, his children and grandchildren had had a way of making him soft. He was a good friend and coworker who was always there for anyone who needed him.  He will be missed by all that loved and knew him.

Kenneth was a gifted carpenter and enjoyed wood working and bead work. He loved the outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing or just being part of nature. Kenneth was a member of the Disabled American Veterans #12 and was very proud of his time in the service.

Beloved father of Tammy Sue (Mark) Kujda, Patsy Kay Jennings and Karey Lyn (Jeffrey) Coffey.  Grandfather of Tara, Kevin, Austin, Patrick, Brandon and Clarabel and great grandfather of six.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Paulette Brazel.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, October25, 2024 from 2 until 7pm. Words of comfort will be shared at 7 pm.
