Kathleen Roberts, 80, died on Friday, August 4 at 12:35pm, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 6, 1943, the first child of Crawford and Blanche (Klish) Larkin in Media, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Penncrest High School in Lima, Pennsylvania in 1960, and also attended Burroughs Business School in Philadelphia. Her father’s job transfer in 1960 would set the stage for the rest of her life.

Relocating to Southgate, Michigan, Kathy began work for Triple A insurance, in the claims department. She always loved to tell stories of some of the adventures with her coworkers and some of the situations they found themselves in.

On May 5, 1967, Kathy married the love of her Life, Richard Roberts. The couple were married for 50 years, and the union produced three children, Richard Jr., Renea and Ronald. She was a devoted wife and mother, always wanting the best for her family.

After her children finished school, Kathy re-entered the work force, working for Wal-Mart, until her retirement. She then took on the job she loved the most, full-time Grand Mom. Whenever Brendan, Remington, and Parker were around you would surely see a smile on her face. She Also adored her two grand dogs, Mowgli and Kylo.

Kathleen Roberts is survived by her two sons, three grandchildren, and brother Ronald Larkin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her daughter Renea.

Friends and Family may call Tuesday August 8, 2023 from 10am until 1pm with the funeral taking place at 1pm all at the Rupp Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Detruf will be officiating the funeral. The committal service will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Maybee, Mi. The Rupp family is honored to be assisting the family of Kathleen Roberts in their time of need.
