Karen Sue Kreuchauf, age 81 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Addison Heights Health and Rehab Center.
Born August 17, 1944 in Monroe. Karen was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (Parker) Hutchinson. She was a 1962 graduate at Dundee High School. Karen continued her education at Flower Hospital School of Nursing to receive her Registered Nurse degree.
After graduating, Karen became an RN, working at Mercy Memorial Hospital. It was there, she met the love of her life, Kenneth C. Kreuchauf. They got married on October 24, 1970, at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. After working at the hospital for ten years, she became a loving homemaker once she had her family. Together they raised two children and spent over 55 wonderful years together.
Karen was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Monroe. She was their organist for about 20 years. She would play during Sunday services and funerals. In her free time, she also liked to get involved in being an Election Worker.
Most importantly, she enjoyed being a grandmother. She enjoyed it when everyone was all together. Karen was always there to watch any of their extracurricular activities to cheer them on. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Dearest grandmother of Jared Cullen, Jordan Cullen, Gavin Kreuchauf, Lucas Kreuchauf, Ben Kreuchauf, and Will Kreuchauf. Dear sister of Jerry (Gayle) Hutchinson and Randy Hutchinson.
