Judy C. Stanfill
December 25, 1949 - February 6, 2021
Judy Carol Stanfill, age 71 of Temperance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Detroit Receiving Hospital.
Born on Christmas day, December 25, 1949 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. She was one of seven children of the late Haskell and Goldie (Sullenburger) Stanfill. Judy and family moved to the Monroe area, and she later graduated from Monroe High School in 1969.
Later on, she met the love of her life: Donald Zappavigna in Monroe. They were soulmates for over 32 wonderful years. Together, they liked to go ride their bicycles with one another as well as be together, enjoying each others company. Sadly, Don passed away in 2008. Judy was also a loving homemaker to her two daughters growing up.
Judy was a faithful Christen woman. She had a Baptist upbringing and loved serving the Lord. In her younger years, she used to go dancing for fun. Judy was an excellent cook and baker. She was known for her homemade foods including her famous lemonade. Later on, she liked to color, do puzzles, play any kind of game-board or card games as well as Yahtzee. Judy will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Beloved mother of Melissa Ward and Cheryl (Larry) Wingle. Loving grandmother of Blake Ward, Christopher, Travis, Shaelyn, and Jasmine Stanfill. Dearest sister of James (Shirley) Watson, Raymond (Peggy) Stanfill, and Paula (Randy) Shank.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death her soulmate: Donald Zappavigna and sisters: Marge Acker, Josephine Watson, and Patricia Cole.
In accordance with Judys wishes, cremation has taken place with no services at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Judy, have been suggested towards the Stanfill family.
