Judy Davis Obituary

Judy A. Davis

December 6, 1951 – May 23, 2025

Judy Ann Davis, age 73 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Medilodge of Monroe Nursing Home, where she was lovingly cared for by Aurora and Heartland Hospice.

Born December 6, 1951, in Warren Township. She was the daughter of the late Vernon Harris and Reba (Johnny) Coble Helwig. Johnny lovingly raised Judy with Reba. Growing up, Judy loved her “Mamma”, Reba. She was a loving daughter to her and, with Joe, moved to Florida to care for Reba when her health was failing and through her final days.

After school, Judy met her loving companion, Larry “Clip” Quinn, in 1968. Together, they had one daughter. Later on, Judy married Rick Davis and together had one son. Judy was also blessed to be a “Bonus Mom” to Tony, Ray-Ray, and John. Judy was devoted to being a mother to her kids. She was attentive to their education and taught them never to quit. Judy loved her friends as her chosen family and was forever grateful for the love and joy they bestowed upon each other. Her best friend for life and final companion was Joe Bellestri. They were two peas in a pod and were always there for one another for many years until his passing in 2024.

In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo. Listening to country music or her beloved Elvis Presley. Judy also liked to go for car rides, take pictures, and talk on the phone. She enjoyed getting mail or artwork from her grandbabies. Her zest for life, enjoying her friends, and always keeping up with their lives are traits that all will miss. Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children: Renee (Don DeCicco) Quinn and Richard (Lauren) Davis; grandchildren: Skye DeCicco, Aria DeCicco, and Kaelin Davis; cousin: Shirley DeShields and her son: Charlie Jr. “CeeJay” Wysinger; niece: Sandra Coble; nephews: Harold Jr. and Manny Coble; and her best friends: Shirley DeShields, Phyllis Dennis, Nancy Lang,  JoAnn Martin, Dianne Tyree, Debbie Lambert, Rose Monson, and Pat Welling.

In addition to her parents, Vernon Harris and Reba Helwig, Judy was preceded in death by her loving companion, Larry “Clip” Quinn (2014); brother, Harold Coble; stepfather, Johnny Helwig; and best friends, Joe Bellestri (2024) and Pat Welling.
