John Naszradi, III Obituary

                                                                           John M. Naszradi III

                                                                July 11, 1931 – October 1, 2025

John M. Naszradi, age 94, of Monroe, passed away peacefully at his home in Fox Run Novi, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Born July 11, 1931 in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Beres) Naszradi. John attended and graduated from Sacred Heart Seminary High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He served honorably during the Korean War from 1951 until 1955. Just months after his discharge, on July 23 of that year, John married Genevieve Meyer. Together they raised four children.  They enjoyed 65 wonderful years together before her passing.  After his military service, he built a distinguished career working as a Supervisor at the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over 30 years.

John was involved in the Trenton community with participation in the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War. He was also active in St. Timothy Catholic Church in Trenton.

John was an avid sports fan, following the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He also loved to play golf, participating in several leagues after his retirement.  He especially cherished his golf Up North outings with his sons and son-in-law. He loved to travel with his wife, including trips to Europe, Hawaii, Florida and many US states.

John enjoyed living at Fox Run Senior Community, participating in multiple activities including the Pine Wood Derby, Veterans Club, playing Euchre and Rummikupp, and being a soundman and host for the Fox Run TV station.

To cherish his memory, he leaves four children: Kenneth (Kay Sisung) Naszradi, Brian (Anne) Naszradi, Keith (Kristen) Naszradi and Beth Naszradi (Byron) Best. He also leaves seven grandchildren: Karina Naszradi, Alexa Naszradi, Nicholas (Kristen) Naszradi, Katherine (John) Houston, Lashae (Tony) Sexton, Megan Best and Melanie Best and eight great grandchildren: Emma Naszradi, Ben Naszradi, Katie Naszradi, Alice Sexton, Bruce Sexton, Henry Houston, Rory Houston, and Maxwell Stone (Katrina Naszradi).

John is preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Naszradi, his brother Ed, and his sister Betty Ann Buckley (Smith).  He leaves behind his loving sister, Rosemary (Larry) Maczuga, who dutifully called daily to stay in touch with her older brother.

Family and friends may visit on Friday October 5th at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 7 pm concluding with a military honor service. John will lie in state at Divine Grace Parish at 10 am where a mass of the Resurrection in will take place at 11 am with Reverand Doctor Michael Woroniewicz officiating.
