Joan Margaret, age 80, of Dundee, MI, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. 

Born on September 9, 1941, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Joan was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (McMartin) Burpee. After graduating from high school, Joan began her career as a part time store clerk (Larry’s in Dundee) and worked as a receptionist at various companies in Ann Arbor (Lithographics and A2 Printing & Mailing).  She retired after working several years as an administrative assistant for Youngs in Dundee.  Joan worked part time for CME Services of Scofield after formal retirement. In her free time, Joan enjoyed gardening and birdwatching and loved her dog, Chi-Chi. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

To cherish her memory, Joan leaves her loving husband, Donald; children: Donald “Donny” (Tami) Liford of Milan, MI, and Kim (Kevin) Huber of Manchester, MI; and siblings: Henry “Buddy” (Rheda) Seagraves of Etowah, NC, Barbara Prucka of Newport, MI, Cherie (Gary) Eby of Scofield, MI, and Victoria Moore of Etowah, NC.

In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by a sister, Marie Burpee; niece, Erin Marie Eby; and brother-in-law, Dale Prucka.
