Jennifer Michelle (Blackburn) Quick, age 47 of Dundee, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit.

Born August 14, 1975, in Trenton, MI. She is the daughter of Larry and the late Ellen (Squires) Blackburn. Jen graduated from Airport High School in 1992. She then continued her education in Tampa, Florida where she received her associate degree.

Jen worked as an Administrative Services Supervisor at the Monroe County Mental Health for about 10 years, retiring in 2019. Jen met the love of her life, Jesse Quick at Wagar Junior High where they both attended. They eventually got married on October 8, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Belleville. They spent over 8 wonderful married years together with many more beforehand. Jesse sadly passed away in 2020.

In her free time, Jen rediscovered her joy of painting and even had her own art desk. Together, Jen and Jesse enjoyed watching movies, going out to eat, and spending time spoiling their three dogs. Jen will be deeply missed by all who know her.  

Beloved daughter of Larry Blackburn Sr.  Loving sister of Larry Blackburn and Marci (Brian) Donnelly. Dearest aunt of Matthew Blackburn, Kaitlin Blackburn, Mya Lane, Ashley Blackburn, Reid Blackburn, Derek Donnelly, Brianna Donnelly, and Melanie Donnelly.  Jen was preceded in death by her mother: Ellen Blackburn.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 21, 2023, at St. Charles Catholic Church of Newport. Jen will lie instate at 10 am with Mass starting at 11 am. Fr. Henry Rebello will officiate. Burial will follow to St. Charles Cemetery.
