Jeffrey William Kohler, 62 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2025, at his home.

Born June 9, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio. Jeff was the son of the late John and Patricia (Ayers) Kohler.

After school, Jeff first worked at Ernie’s Gathering Place in the kitchen for a short time before pursuing something closer to his interests.  For the next 30 years he worked as a motorcycle mechanic at businesses in Monroe, Dundee and Dearborn.

Jeff met and married the love of his life: Scarlett Carter on March 12, 1982. They raised a family of two children. They spent over 42 wonderful years together before Scarlett sadly passed in January of 2025.

In his free time, you could find him at home in the garage tinkering away on motorcycles, four wheelers or dragsters. He also enjoyed going to Milan and Norwalk Dragway to show and race his modified Suzuki motorcycle, winning time trials and some trophies.  He loved going for long, holiday weekend rides on his motorcycle with Scarlett on the back. He also cherished his animals, especially his dogs: Chester and Dixie.

Beloved father of Nicole (Caleb) Gerweck and Timothy (Madelynne) Kohler. Loving grandfather of Daniel Gerweck, Carter Brauer, Lillyan, Olivia, Evalynne, and Eleanor Kohler. Dear brother of John Kohler Jr., Jan (David) Synk, and Judy (Scott) Tennyson.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by wife: Scarlett Kohler.
