March 18, 1977 – February 7, 2025

Jason Roy Long, age 47 of Dundee, passed away unexpectedly at 6:46 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025.

Born March 18, 1977, in Detroit, Michigan, he is the son of the late James M. Wood and Sheila G. Long.  Jason attended Titan High School in Taylor, Michigan. He most recently worked for ProVac Environmental Cleaning where he was trained as an emergency responder and confined space rescue. Jason worked for Affordable Wheelchair as a tech and Pioneer Metal Tooling as a welder.

Jason was a talented artist, expressing his gift in drawings and tattooing.  Whether it be camping or hiking, he cherished time spent outdoors. Jason was a keeper of many things and could often be found tinkering out in his garage, frequently building or working on mini-bikes or go-karts.  Jason was a kind, giving soul who would often lend a helping hand to those in his community. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces. Jason will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death by one brother, James M. Wood II; niece, Addison Jacques; and maternal grandparents, Rev. James E. Long and Betty Constantini.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved daughter, Arabella “Belle” (Austin Towns) Long of Tecumseh; one granddaughter, Oaklynn Towns; four siblings: Robert Jacques of Monroe, Jesse Wood of New Tazwell, Tennessee; Shana (Carlos) Zavala of Monroe; and Justin Wood of Knoxville, Tennessee; fiancé, Jennifer Weeman and her daughter, Brianna Lopez; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 1 p.m. until services celebrating his life begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Rev. William Adams will officiate. Jason will also have services in Rose Hill, Virginia, at a later date. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Virginia.
