Janette Lorraine Hehl
June 24, 1920 – April 9, 2021
Janette Lorraine Hehl, age 100 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Wellspring Lutheran Services.
Born June 24, 1920 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was one of six children from the union of the late Alfons and Nellie (LeMay) Lamprecht. Janette grew up and went to school in Indiana. Later, she married the love of her life, Donald V. Hehl, on March 6, 1937. They raised a family of one daughter and spent over 58 years together until Donald’s passing in 1996.
Janette was an original member of Christ Lutheran Church in Monroe. She was also a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Janette spent her free time volunteering for the Mercy Memorial Hospital Guild, and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
To cherish her memory, Janette leaves her daughter, Barbara Lee (Samuel) Liparoto; brother, Robert (Wanda) Anderson; four grandchildren: Kimberly (Paul) Stieve, Julie Hartman, David (Blayne) Liparoto, and Chris J (Liza) Liparoto; and 13 great-grandchildren: Geoffrey Stieve, Jennifer (Dr. Rajeev) Stieve-Swarup, Lindsay (Adam) Stieve-Seipelt, Dirk (Elyse) Riggs, Spencer Hartman, Kelan Liparoto, Cooper Liparoto, Nico Liparoto, Joey Liparoto, Ben Liparoto, and Nino Liparoto; 5 great great grandchildren: Henry Swarup, Stella Swarup, Bennett Seipeit, Makoi Riggs, and Monroe Riggs.
Janette resided at Wellsprings Lutheran Home for 17 months, she was happy living there. Janette celebrated her 100th birthday on June 24, 2020. She enjoyed all the cards and phone calls that she received.
Along with her parents and husband, Janette is preceded in death by her sister, June Sylvester.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Christ Lutheran Church Monroe, MI, with a funeral service starting at 12:00 pm. Officiating is Wayne Butts, L.L.M. Burial will follow immediately at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI. Due to COVID 19 everyone is asked to follow the guidelines (wear face coverings, social distance and keep clean hands) set forth in the State of Michigan. The funeral service will be livestreamed on Rupp Funeral Home page via Facebook.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Janette’s honor are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church or Wellspring Lutheran Home.
