Hazel A. Younglove

October 23, 1950 – June 16, 2024

Hazel Anne Younglove, age 73 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, with her daughter and grandson by her side.

Born October 23, 1950, in Monroe. She was one of ten children of the late Arnold and Marie (Poupard) Younglove. Hazel graduated from Monroe High School in 1968.

After high school, she started working as a banker at First National Bank, in Monroe. Over her 42 years at that location, the bank changed owners from First of America, National City Bank, and then as it is today PNC Bank.

Hazel was a lifelong member at Zion Evangelic Lutheran Church of Monroe. In her younger years, she used to make cakes and sell them. Hazel enjoyed going on cruises with friends to places like the Caribbean and Mexico. She also liked to garden, shoot darts, and play cards.

Hazel was a homebody, in her later years - she liked to be at home with her three dogs: Kloee, Becky, and Riley. Most importantly, one of her absolute favorite things was being a grandma to Samuel. Hazel would drop anything for her grandson. She will be remembered for her kind heart and always thinking about others before herself. Hazel will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Beloved mother of LeAnne Mann. Loving grandmother of Samuel Mann. Dearest sister of Janice Rehberg, Barb Rice, Lee Younglove, David (Judy) Younglove, Edward (Karen) Younglove, Edith Plumb, and Nancy Chalupka.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by sisters: Caroline Younglove and Annette Younglove; sister-in-law: Danni Younglove; and brothers in law: John Rehberg, Dan Rice, Arden (Mike) Westover, Richard Plumb, and Tim Chalupka.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial gathering at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Friends and family may visit from 1 to 3 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. A memorial service will take place following the visitation, starting at 3 PM. Both visitation and the Memorial Service will take place at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, locate at 186 Cole Rd, Monroe, MI 48162. Officiating is Pastor Greg Sitzman.
