Haithem M. Alsawalha

Haithem Mohammed Alsawalha, age 18 of Marblehead, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, in Ottawa County, Ohio.
Born June 13, 2003, in Toledo, Ohio. He is the son of Kristen (Smith) Howard and Mohammed Alsawalha. Haithem graduated from Danbury High School in 2021. He continued his education at Bowling Green State University Firelands majoring in Criminal Justice. Haithem was very involved in his classes and was a part of their student council. He was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society as well as the Alpha Lambda Delta Society.
Haithem worked at Bassetts Grocery store in Port Clinton, Ohio. For over a year, he enjoyed working as a butcher in the meat department. In his free time, he loved learning about history, playing computer games and being a part of an online community. He loved his siblings and his cousins very much. Haithem was quick witted and loved to make others around him laugh.
He’ll be remembered as a loving son, caring brother, devoted grandson, thoughtful nephew, and greatest friend one could have. Haithem will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Beloved son of Kristen (William) Howard and Mohammed Alsawalha. Loving brother of Laith, Alia, Thayer, Ryan, Lily and Trey. Dearest grandson of Linda (Mike) Dansard. Great grandson of Doris (Dallas) James. Dear nephew of Nikoll (Deval) Rorke, Chasity Smith, Pat (Jen) Smith Jr., Nikki Skeldon, Kristina Gooch, and David (Lana) Grodi. Great nephew of Julia Sharkus and Jim Smith. Also is survived by many cousins, and extended family. A special thanks to his Umo Ashraf Haddad.
Haithem was preceded in death by his grandparents: Patrick Smith Sr., Fuad Alsawalha, Lillian Bork, and Robert Smith Sr.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday starting at 4:00 pm. Officiating is Larry Detruf. In accordance with families wishes, cremation will conclude services.
