Glenn A. Burks

Glenn Arden Burks, age 66 of Maybee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at home under hospice care.
Born December 8, 1953 in Wyandotte, from the union of the late Clifford and Gracie (Fluty) Burks. He was one of three brothers. He later proudly served in the United Sates Army during the Vietnam War. He served as an SP-4 rank and was honorable discharged. Glenn made a living working at US Steel Corporation as a Millwright for many years in Ecorse, MI.
Glenn met the love of his life: Diane Turek. They got married on October 4, 1980 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ecorse, MI. Together raised a family of two children and spent over 40 wonderful years. Together, both Glenn and Diane enjoyed shopping antiques with one another.
In Glenn's free time, you could find him enjoying the outdoors on the golf coarse, fishing, and camping. He was also a hobby farmer and had his own animals he took care of at his home.
Most importantly, Glenn was a proud father and loved spending quality time with his family. Glenn had a huge heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Beloved husband of Diane Burks. Loving father of Grant Burks and Larisa Burks. Dearest brother of Curtiss Burks. Proceeded in death by his parents: Clifford and Gracie Burks and a brother: Paul Burks.
In accordance with Glenn's wishes cremation will take place with no services at this time. Cremains will be buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery for veterans in Holly, MI at a later date.
