Ferrel K. Pitt, age 77, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Monroe Michigan, passed away at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025. He had been declining in health for five months.

Born October 13, 1947, in Monroe, he is the son of the late Orlander J. and Alpha Christine (Hurst) Pitt. He attended Monroe High School, graduating with the class of 1965. Ferrel served his country honorably in the United States Army from August 8, 1968, to August 31, 1970. He married his beloved wife, Dorothy Slick (Handley), on October 16, 2008, in Toledo, Ohio.

Ferrel was a longtime member of VFW Post 1138, Monroe. He enjoyed going out to dinner, watching professional wrestling, Howard the Animal Steel being one of his favorites. He also loved traveling to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He enjoyed watching Storage Wars. He enjoyed celebrating his anniversary at Frankenmuth Michigan.

To cherish his memory, Ferrel leaves his wife, Dorothy Pitt of Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Ferrel was preceded by his first wife, Cheryl R. Pitt.

Family and friends may visit Friday, April 11, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Military Honors are under the auspices of VFW Post 1138, Monroe.
