Born August 11, 1925 in Monroe. She was one of four children of the late Lawrence and Mary (Loonis) Reaume. Evelyn attended St. Michaels Catholic School.
She first married Dominic Diulio on December 16, 1943. He passed away in 1956. Evelyn then found a second love and married Joseph Vicari on November 8, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They met at Mignanos Grocery Store while she was a check out clerk there. Together they enjoyed working on their vegetable garden and canning them. They also played in a bowling league as well as playing card games like Euchre or poker with friends and family. They spent over 48 wonderful years together before Joe sadly passed away in 2006.
While being a homemaker, Evelyn was a seamstress in her spare time. She worked at Special Touch Bridal Shop for many years as well as work out of her home doing alterations for about 20 years. Evelyn made a few wedding dresses for her daughters and could fix anything that anyone brought her. She also liked to crochet, go to the casino for fun, as well as playing the piano and accordion.
Most importantly, Evelyn valued spending her quality time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was always there to watch all their events and milestones in their lives. Evelyn loved it when everyone would get together for family gatherings and holidays. She was a wonderful cook and would make spaghetti and meatballs every Sunday as well as make her famous homemade pizza for everyone to enjoy.
Evelyn will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She was the sweetest person and was always easy-going. Evelyn was a wonderful mom who was always there for you no matter what. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
