Edna M. Hultberg

Edna M. Hultberg, age 92, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Born on December 16, 1930 in Tawas City, Edna was the daughter of Robert and Nettie Webb. On June 14, 1952, Edna married Howard C. Hultberg at Epworth Methodist Church in River Rouge, Michigan. Together they would raise three children. Edna and Howard enjoyed 54 years together until sadly, Howard passed in 2006.

Edna owned and helped operate the Howard’s Dance Studio from 1952 until 1993. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Monroe Thrift Shop, and the Alter Guild. She also worked for 8 years for the former Associated Eye Institute.

In her spare time Edna enjoyed reading, journaling, doing jig saw puzzles and watching movies. She also liked to travel and spend time with her friends and family.

To cherish her memory, she leaves a son, David (Kimberly) Hultberg; two daughters: Vicki (Jonathan) Sole and Karyn (Larry) Brodie, four grandchildren: Shawn Hall, Jauna Hultberg, Alia Brodie and Derek Brodie and three great grandchildren: Emma, Anna and Arwyn.

Edna was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Terri and Jacqueline and her husband, Howard.

A Celebration of Life in Edna’s honor will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 starting at 2 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 304 South Monroe Street, Monroe, MI, 48161. Fellowship will follow the celebration at 3 pm.
