Dwayne Rice, age 60 of LaSalle, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Born February 12, 1961, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was one of seven children of Harley and Anna (Carter) Rice. He attended Mason High School in Erie, where he was an All-Star football player. Dwayne worked as a Truck Driver at a couple different trucking companies for about 10 years before retiring.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching DC Comic movies. Especially anything Batman related. Dwayne was also a big NFL fan and rooted the Miami Dolphins Football Team on. Dwayne was also a handy man. He worked on cars and small motors for people who asked. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Beloved son of Anna Rice. Loving father of Jennifer Nunn. Grandfather to many grandchildren. Dearest brother of Michelle Palmer and Brandy Waterhouse.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his son: Michael Rice; father: Harley Rice; and brothers: Arthur, Timothy, Charles, and David Rice.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be on Friday, October 22, 2021, starting at 11 am at Rupp Funeral Home. Officiating is Pastor BJ McDaniel.  Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
