Donna M. Libstorff

Donna Marie Libstorff, age 65 of Monroe, passed away the evening of Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born December 1, 1956 in Monroe, Donna was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Hubbard) McDaniel. Donna attended Monroe High School. She met the love of her life, Wayne Libstorff, at the age of 13 and on March 5, 1982, they got married. Together they raised a family of two children and spent many wonderful years together.

Donna was a long-term member at Grace Lutheran Church. In her free time, Donna enjoyed reading, writing, playing cards, bingo, casino trips, splitting and burning wood, camping, and watching the Detroit Tigers. She also liked listening to Motown music as well as anything by Bob Seger. Whenever she needed peace of mind, Donna enjoyed going fishing with her dad and then eventually with her husband as well. There was nothing she treasured more than spending time with her husband and family. Overall, Donna was a very loving, generous, and strong person.

To cherish her memory, Donna leaves her loving husband, Wayne; a son, Wayne (Rhonda) Libstorff, Jr.; grandchildren: Wayne Libstorff, III, Sunshine Marie Libstorff, Clayton James Libstorff, Char (Mike) Shoner and children, and Dustin (Blaire) Brewer and children; a brother, James McDaniel; brother-in-law, David Campbell; two nieces: Kelly and Kaylee; and most importantly her four-legged companion, Tigger. 

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by a son, James Clayton Libstorff, and two sisters, Debbie and Diane.

Family and friends are welcome to a visitation on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Rupp Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately begin at noon. Pastor Mark Witte will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
