Donald W. Fallon
July 19, 1983 - January 1, 2022
Donald Walter Fallon, age 38 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Saturday, January 1, 2022, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital after a three week battle with pneumonia.
Don was born July 19, 1983, in Monroe, to Thomas Andrew Fallon and Shawn (Miller) Fallon. He was raised in the Catholic Church and Confirmed at St. Annes. Don attended Jefferson High School and has been employed at Meijer Distribution Center as a Diesel Mechanic for the past six years. Don was an outstanding mechanic and he also served as Union Stewart, always fighting for the rights of his fellow employees.
Don enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family often bragging about his beloved Labradors Roy, Raylin, and Ridik. He played softball throughout his youth, and also played for many years as an adult with the Frenchtown Men’s League. As much as he loved playing ball with his friends, football was his passion. Sundays were always devoted to watching the Lions. Win or lose, he was there. Don also loved fishing. His fondest memories were of his grandpa Don teaching him to fish out on his boat.
His life was made complete with the birth of his son, Thomas Andrew. Don proved himself to be a wonderful loving father and wouldn’t miss a minute of time spent with him. Thomas was his pride and joy and always came first in his life. Don was loved by so many friends and family; his presence will be missed forever.
To cherish his memory, Don leaves behind his son, Thomas Andrew; his mother, Shawn Greathouse; and brother, Steven Craig Fallon.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas; grandmother, Mary Fallon, grandfather, Don Fallon, grandmother, Bettye Lucille Miller and cousin, Thomas Gonzales.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm at Rupp Funeral Home. Don will lie instate Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10am with the funeral mass beginning at 11am at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Mel Blanchett officiating.
