Dolores Irene (Przekopowski) Trimble, age 96, of Ann Arbor, MI (formerly Wyoming, MI) was born to Helen Sokolowski and Stanley Przekopowski on November 9, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI. Dolores left this earth on June 24, 2023.
Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted daughter. Every weekend, she helped her mother Helen cook for Polish weddings and funerals. In her spare time, Dolores took her speedboat out on Lake Michigan for family fun. Dolores retired from Consumers Power Company as a Dispatcher.
She was an active member of the Wyoming Senior Center for decades, calling Bingo and serving as the “Sunshine Lady,” writing cards to sick members or family of deceased members. She was known for her love of dogs, especially Dachshunds. Dolores enjoyed travelling and spent winter months in California, where she earned trophies for shuffleboard and billiards. She delighted in home-cooked meals made by her son-in-law, Robert James, and playing Yahtzee with the family.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Robert James; aunts; and uncles. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Keenan) James; granddaughter Lanell (James) White; grandson, Aaron James; great-grandchildren James and Maya White; a special 1st cousin, Anastazja (Sokolowski) Romanowicz in Poland; and many relatives in Grand Rapids, MI and Poland.
Dolores was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI.
