Diane M. Munson
January 26, 1947 - September 30, 2022
Diane Marie Munson, age 75, of LaSalle, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born January 26, 1947, in Monroe, Michigan, she was one of four children of the late Norbert and Rosemary (Sturtz) Knab. Diane graduated from Monroe High School in 1965.
On December 3, 1966, Diane married her life partner, Larry Lee Munson, at St. John the Baptist Parish.
For more than three decades, Diane worked alongside her husband in the family business, Lawrence Munson and Son Excavating; handling all aspects of the office.
Diane was an avid bowler and participated on many leagues throughout the years. She called everyone she met “Babe” and always enjoyed her daily fountain drink of Diet Coke. Diane also enjoyed time with her friends at street rod events, gardening, and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her favorite musical artist was the one and only, Elvis Presley. On the day of her passing, Psalms from the bible were read to her as she listened to Elvis’ gospel music.
Diane’s passing was preceded by her husband, Larry Munson; a son, Michael Munson; and a brother, John Knab.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind three daughters; Stacy (Buddy Gray) Munson, Angela (Doug) Bouldin, and Andrea Munson. Diane also leaves five grandchildren; Ryan Johnson, Peyton Johnson, Taylor Wilson, Madison McKee, and Jeremy Wilson, along with a brother, Dennis (Cathy) Knab, and sister, Jan (Bill) Scheich. She will also be sadly missed by her beloved dog, Coco Baer.
Diane was the type of person who would not want you to be sad for her passing. Instead, her faith tells her she will be reunited with family and friends who passed on before her. Diane would want you to know she is now at peace and smiling from ear-to-ear, as she embraces her husband, Larry, and son, Michael.
