Dennis Russell Boudrie
November 20, 1946 – January 30, 2024
Dennis R. Boudrie, 77, of Monroe, passed away at Wellspring Lutheran Services on January 30, 2024, at 12:10 AM.
Dennis was born on November 20, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan to Russell and Alice (Dussia) Boudrie. He was one of three children. Dennis attended Monroe High School and graduated with the class of 1964.
Dennis went on to marry Lois Prokopy, and together they raised a son and a daughter. Sadly, Lois passed away in 1992. Together, they enjoyed travelling. One of their favorite places was Tennessee.
After graduating high school, he worked at the La-Z-Boy Chair Factory here in Monroe. Then, he found a job at Tenneco Manufacturing, an automotive performance company, where he made his living for over 30 years.
Dennis was a caring father and grandfather. He loved going to his grandkids’ sporting events. In his free time, you could certainly find Dennis watching the History Channel. His favorite show had to have been American Pickers. Dennis liked Nascar, too and he collected model cars. Dennis was always cracking jokes. He never failed to put smiles on other’s faces.
To cherish his memory, Dennis leaves behind his son, Chris (Jamie) Boudrie, six grandchildren: Paige (Jake) Hancock, Lindsey Boudrie, Caleb Boudrie, Brendan Rafko, Remy Roberts, and Parker Roberts; a sister, Linda (David) Whitaker; a brother, Jeff (Tracy) Boudrie, as well as his mother, Alice Boudrie.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Russell; his wife, Lois; daughter, Casey Boudrie; and infant son: Timothy Boudrie.
There will be a memorial gathering at Rupp Funeral Home on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 2:00 – 7:30 PM. A celebration of life will conclude services at 7:30.
In lieu of flowers, the Boudrie family has asked for any donations to contribute toward funeral costs. If you would like to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Please call Rupp Funeral Home at 734-241-9300 to donate.
