September 24, 1940 – April 17, 2022
Deanna D’Arpini, age 81 of Monroe, passed away suddenly at home on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Born September 24, 1940, in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Loretta (Cooley) Woods. Deanna graduated from Monroe High School. She made her living for many years working for the IHM Sisters as a nurses aide.
Deanna met and married the love of her life: Saturno “John” D’Arpini on July 30, 1960, in Monroe. They raised a family of three children. They spent over 52 wonder years together before John’s passing in 2012.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, doing arts and crafts, sewing, and cooking. Her family especially enjoyed her chicken sliders, which she took great pride in. Deanna loved the Christmas holiday and all the excitement it would bring. Although Christmas was her favorite, Halloween came in very close.
Most importantly, her family meant the world to her. She was always a very loving, caring, and giving woman. Deanna will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Beloved mother of John D’Arpini of Monroe, Jeff (Kay) D’Arpini of Monroe, and Connie (Mike) Tibai of Maybee. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Rick Woods, Keith Woods, and Wilma.
In addition to her parents, Deanna is preceded in death by her husband: John D’Arpini, and brother: Arnold “Sonny” Woods.
