After a courageous battle with cancer, Dean Joseph Jacobs passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 77.

Born on October 22, 1944, in Petersburg, MI, Dean was the son of Ralph and Opal Jacobs. He was a graduate of Bedford High School and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

After he was discharged, he met the love of his life, Rosemary Ziegler, and they married in 1978. Together they enjoyed going out to eat and Honkey Tonkin’ (dancing) on the weekends. Dean enjoyed old movies, music, playing euchre, and spending time with his wife, his little rose bud.

Dean was employed by GM Hyrdomatic in Toledo, OH from where he retired. He was a member of the UAW Local 14, Local VFW, and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Despite being in pain, he stayed strong until the end. Dean will always be remembered by his kind eyes and infectious smile.

Dean is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sister, Nancy Hodgkinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Dean will be on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 11am to 1pm at Rupp Funeral Home in Monroe. His services will be held immediately after at 1pm. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
