David J. Stininger Sr.
January 27, 1949 – September 14, 2024
David James Stininger Sr. At the age of 75 passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Seacrest Nursing Home in Monroe, Michigan.
David was Born January 27, 1949 in Monroe, Michigan. He was the son of the late Melvin Stininger (Barb Stininger) and Patricia Jacob Burt (Daniel Burt). Dave graduated from Monroe High School in 1967.
After graduating High School, he was drafted into the United States Navy in 1967 where he served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971.
Dave was employed with the Jefferson School District where he retired from the shipping and receiving department. After retirment he had several hobbies including owning his own Karaoke DJ business called Memory Lane.
He enjoyed a good game of golf, darts,being a Bingo caller, coin collecting, and loved flea marketing.
Surviving are his children: David (Michelle) Stininger Jr., Daniel Stininger, Michael Stininger, Viera (Brian) Ellinger, Shawn (Jamie) Stininger and Krystal (James) Pepper; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Melanie Counterman, William (Renee) Stininger, Charlie (Kim) Stininger, Tina (Daniel) Kritikos, Stanley (Carla) Stininger and Thomas Burt.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by son: Brian Stininger; infant daughter: Tonya Stininger; grandchild: Joseph Michael Stininger; and brothers: Calvin and Melvin Wayne Stininger.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
