David Bowen Shrader, 22 of Erie, left this world to join his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Born on November 19, 2000, in Toledo, David was the loving son of Sarah LaPrad.  He attended Mason High School and went on to earn his General Education Degree. David worked as a tree trimmer for numerous companies.

David lived and loved loudly. He was strong-willed, bold, and hard-working. In his spare time, you could usually find him outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt and ride motorcycles. David also liked to work out and box. He loved his friends and family and cherished and adored his Papa.

A force to be reckoned with, David will be missed by many.

To cherish his memory, David leaves his mother and stepfather, Sarah and Jon Sprauer, sisters: Connor and Veronica Yarger; grandparents: Ronald (Traci May) LaPrad, Lena LaPrad and Bill Killion; great-grandparents: David and Rose LaPrad and Jacqueline and Al Larson. David also leaves a very special someone, Felicity Gach and her son Aydin.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 7 pm. with a Rosary service to follow. David will lie in state on Monday, November 6 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. A funeral mass will begin at 11 am with Fr. Robert Slaton  officiating.
