David E. Kull
July 11, 1943 – June 30, 2024
Born July 11, 1943, David Earl Kull was the son of Earl “Babe” and Betty Sue Barnes Kull. David graduated from Monroe High School in 1961. A diving member of the Monroe High School swim team, he also excelled on the golf team and would brag about playing a round of golf with only a putter.
David also enjoyed bowling and playing pool, and he had a gift of gab! His main loves were his Harleys, especially Pogo which was a chopper he built.
He spent most of his adult life in Santa Barbara, California where he owned a motorcycle repair shop, and he worked as a draftsman for the Santa Barbara Fire Department. The last two and a half years were spent at Monroe Medilodge where he received excellent care.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Susan Renee Kanner.
He is survived by a daughter: Catherine Holton; sisters: Pam Zimmerman, Suzi Kull, Patty Burnard, and Chris Kull; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Medilodge and Heartland Hospice for the care and attention they gave David. After a recent stay in the hospital, he felt returning to Medilodge was going home.
Memorial donations can be made to the Monroe Family YMCA.
Rupp Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements at Roselawn Memorial Park. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will be held.
