David Hernandez Garcia, age 64 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Thursday, March 4, 2021 at ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born May 13, 1956 of Monroe. He was one of nine children of the late Erasmo and Beatrice (Hernandez) Garcia. After high school, David served in the United States Army for a short time.

David was a Christian man who believed strongly in his faith. He enjoyed going for walks as well as spending time with friends outdoors. David was a selfless man who liked doing for others with nothing in return. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

Beloved brother of Michael (Delynn) Garcia, Chuck (Corrine) Garcia of Arizona, Maria (Paul) Stenzel of Ann Arbor, Teresa Ruiz, and Belinda (Tim) Fransen of Arizona. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by siblings: Eddie Garcia Jr., Hector Garcia, Sylvia Brown, Joseph Garcia, and Diane Garcia.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A funeral service with a rosary will take place at the end of viewing starting at 11 am. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where committal prayers will be said.
