Darlene Diekman of Monroe passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022.  She was born on July 19, 1948, to Dorothy (Lazette) and Gilbert Diekman-both deceased.

Darlene graduated from St. Joseph’s Grade School, Monroe; St. Mary Academy; Monroe County Community College; and Siena Heights University.

She worked for the federal government in Washington D. C., New York, and Michigan.  She also worked for Greater Media, Inc., and Monroe County Community College.

Darlene attended St. Joseph’s Parish in Monroe until it closed.  She was currently a member of St. John’s Parish.

Darlene is survived by her loving pets and many friends.

Memorials may be made to ASPCA. 

The funeral service for Darlene will take place on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Darlene will lie instate at 10 am with a funeral mass beginning at 11 am.  Fr. David Burgard will officiate.  Burial will follow immediately at St. Joseph Cemetery.
