Danny Lawrence Erb, age 76 of Monroe, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at home under hospice care.

Born January 10, 1949 in Trenton, MI. He was the son of the late Leonard and May (Alexander) Erb. Danny graduated from Airport High School.

Danny found second love later in life and married Verna Bastian on August 5, 2000. They spent over 19 wonderful years together before she sadly passed in 2019.

Danny made a living working at Oakwood Hospital in Trenton as a housekeeper. He spent a decade working until he retired in 2011. In his free time, Danny loved to work in his yard. His garden and lawn were always in meticulous shape. Danny will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Surviving are his children: Lennie (Natasha) Erb of Ida, Danielle (Brad) Sharp of Woodland Beach, Nicole Erb of Toledo, Dorian (Jody) Pello of Barga, and Maggie Erb of Monroe; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by wife: Verna Erb; stepdaughter: Alena J. Hoeppner; brother: Leonard Erb Jr.; and sister: Fayette Erb.

In accordance with his wishes, burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2 pm. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.ruppfuneralhomeinc.com
