Daniel Maurice Raymond, Sr.

May 12, 1944 – October 4, 2024

Daniel M. Raymond, Sr. age 80 of Monroe, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 4, 2024, with his loving and caring family by his side.

Born May 12, 1944 he was the son of late Maurice and Donna (Weaver) Raymond. On December 11, 1962 he married the love of his life, Gwen (Flatford) Raymond, in Tazewell, TN. Together they had two sons.

He was employed at Ford Motor Company-Woodhaven Stamping Plant retiring in 2002. Dan enjoyed old western movies, golfing, playing guitar, NASCAR, computers and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of the UAW Local 387 located in Brownstown Charter Township, MI.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Gwen and son, Daniel (Roxanne) “Gator” Raymond, Jr. of Monroe, MI; a brother, Ronnie Raymond of Flat Rock, MI; and will be deeply missed by his grand dog “Ginger”.

Family and friends may visit at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, where the Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00PM. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock, MI.

Sadly, Dan is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Dana Raymond; and three brothers: Larry, Gary, and Rocky Raymond.
