Daniel L. Butterfield

Daniel Lee Butterfield, age 79 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Seacrest Nursing Home of Monroe.
Born July 9, 1945 in Lincoln, Maine. He was one of two sons of the late Lee and Exlia (Dube) Butterfield. After graduating high school, Dan proudly enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965. He served a total of six years stationed in Bainbridge, Maryland until he was honorably discharged in 1971.
Dan then worked as an Electrician at the McLouth Steel Plant in Trenton. He was employed for 27 years before they closed their doors in 1995, and he decided to retire after.
Dan met Denise Tomblin at a bar in Carleton. Ever since they’ve been together and got married on September 20, 2002 in Rockwood, MI. This coming September would have been 23 years together. Dan always enjoyed life and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving is his wife, Denise Butterfield; stepdaughter, Nicole (Christopher) Rapp, and one grandchild, Michael Charles Rapp.
In addition to his parents, Lee and Exlia Butterfield, Dan was preceded in death by his brother: Rodney Butterfield.
