Daniel George Booth
September 2, 1967 – December 20, 2024
Daniel G. Booth, age 57 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on December 20,2024 at his sister’s home.
Born September 2, 1967, in Erie, he is the son of the late Katherine Reynolds. Dan married Dawn Williams on September 7, 1985, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe. Sadly, after thirty-three years of marriage, she preceded him in death on October 6, 2018. Dan worked for Detroit Edison as a supervisor at the Monroe Plant.
Dan enjoyed spending his Saturdays and Sundays during football season watching U of M and Lions games, and he was an avid Avalanche hockey fan. His grandchildren meant the world to him. Whether it be fishing or just spending time with them, he especially enjoyed his time spent with them. He was a lover of music, some of his favorite genres being Country, Rock, and even some R&B and Hip-Hop. Most recently attending a Jessie Murph concert. Dan was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. Even when he wasn’t having the best day, he always wanted to put a smile on your face. He also loved his time spent riding his beloved Harley.
To cherish his memory, Dan leaves three children: Samantha (Deonte Stewart) Booth, Danielle (Darius) Butler, and Marcus Carey; and eleven grandchildren: Brooklynn Deitz, Danicka Deitz, Brian Deitz Junior, Owen Bashaw, Xavier Stewart, Jacob Neil, Dakota Neil, Ryan Neil, August Carey, Aniyah Carey and Azarius Stewart.
In addition to his mother and wife, Dawn, Dan was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Booth; one granddaughter, Bryanna Bashaw; and one sister, Connie Ellison.
Family and friends may visit from 1 p.m. until services celebrating his life begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Rev. B.J. McDaniel will officiate. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow.
