Dale Carter Obituary

Dale J. Carter

November 24, 1966- June 4, 2021

On June 4th at the age of 54, Dale John Carter was greeted into the hands of god by his Mother & son. He had passed away from an ongoing illness.

Dale worked hard as cement mason & concrete finisher. He was a die hard Michigan fan & a free spirited soul with a heart of gold. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Army, based in Germany & completed a tour in Bosnia. He took pride in sports & was a star athlete growing up.

He loved his kids more than anything & enjoyed sharing his love for classic movies & music along with his fondest childhood memories with them. Dale had two wishes in life, one to see the Lions win the super bowl & two for his family & children to remain close & take care of one another. We can’t say much for the lions, but on behalf of his children we will forever uphold his wishes. He was a great father, a good friend & an awesome uncle. He had a great love for animals & enjoyed fishing & concerts in his free time .

Dale was proceeded in death by his mother: Marie-Paule Stella Carter & his son: Scottie Michael Moss. He’s sadly leaving behind his friends, his father: Ronald Carter, two sisters: Hollie Harmon & Stephanie Marchese, three sons: Eric Carter, Brett Carter & Kyle Carter, One daughter: Katie Carter & three grandchildren: Aubrey Carter, Jaceton Ems & Eric Carter Jr. He will be deeply missed but will forever live in our hearts.

Per Dale's wishes, cremation has taken place. Everyone is invited to a Military Honor Guard Service under the auspice of Post #1138. The service will be held at the VFW Hall at 400 Jones Ave, Monroe, MI 48161 on Sunday, June 13, 2021 starting at 11 am. After the service, there will be a Celebration of Life memorial held immediately after at the Waterloo County Park of Monroe for family and friends to gather. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
