Cynthia Louise “Cindy” Milam

Cynthia Louise “Cindy” Milam, age 61 of Monroe, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Sylvania Ebeid Center.

Born March 12, 1963, in Detroit, she is the daughter of the late Ernest Williams and Pauline Williams. Cindy met her beloved husband Gary L. Milam and, after building a life together, the two would later marry on February 24, 1989, in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She worked outside the home for several years, and after retiring, Cindy put caring for her family first as a homemaker.  She cherished spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Cindy enjoyed gardening and birdwatching, singing and dancing, watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and taking care of her dog, Bo.

To cherish her memory, Cindy leaves her husband, Gary Milam of Monroe; four children: Christopher (Trista Kalous) Milam of South Lyon, Michigan, Marcus (Amanda Rodriguez) Milam of Monroe, Kelsi (Jason) Gautz of Brownstown, Michigan, and Tyler (Samantha) Milam of Monroe; one sister, Bobbi (Mike) Davis of New Boston, Michigan; three brothers: Terry (Sherri) Williams of Monroe, Tobin (Cheryl) Williams of Allen Park, Michigan, and Todd (Cookie) Williams of Lincoln Park, Michigan; four grandchildren: Emily Lynn Milam, Joshua Edward Gautz, Mason James Milam, and Mark Lee Milam; and her beloved dog, Bo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Denise C. Williams, Theodore E. Williams, Caren M. Milam, Thomas G. Williams, and Timothy W. Williams.

Friends and family may visit from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161, where services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow.
