Cretie Miracle, age 98 of Monroe, passed away the evening of Thursday January 14, 2021 at The Oasis of Monroe. 
 
Cretie was born November 4, 1922 in Tazewell, TN as one of nine children from the union of the late James and Gertie (Russell) Miracle. She worked as a waitress in her younger years, but then she would go on to retire from Mercy Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide.
 
Cretie enjoyed working and providing for her family. She was a caregiver to her immediate family but also to nieces and nephews and anyone who needed a helping hand.
 
To cherish her memory, Cretie leaves her son, David (Cindi) Miracle; daughter in law, Paula (Michael) Miracle; brother, Homer Miracle; four grandchildren: Lindsay, Lesley, Dylan, and Jerilyn; and six great grandchildren.
 
Along with her parents, Cretie is preceded in death by two sons: Michael Miracle and Rickey Carey; six brothers: Allard, John, Kelsie, Russell, Quentin, and Oscar; and one sister, Louella.
 
Family and friends may visit from 11am-2pm Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home, where at the end of visitation we will go for burial at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
