Chuck Ferry Obituary

Chuck Ferry

January 10, 1945 – January 31, 2026

Charles “Chuck” Edward Ferry, age 81 of Belleville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the St. Joseph/Trinity Heath Hospital of Ann Arbor.

Chuck was born on January 10, 1945 in Newark, Ohio. He was the son of the late Goldie (McMannis) Ferry. Chuck moved to Monroe, MI in 1967 to attain a job at the Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant. He spent over 38 and a half years of dedicated service before retiring on May 1, 2006.

Chuck met and married the love of his life, Linda (Botta) Ferry on June 29, 1991. Together they enjoyed being with their blended family of four daughters and two sons. They were truly a team and each other’s soul mates.

Chuck was a man of many cars and trucks in his lifetime. Always looking online for and scrolling through to see if there was a favorite. He loved to travel when he could, taking long rides and sometimes getting lost on the way, but his trusty map wasn’t far away. Chuck enjoyed playing cards and making up his own rules, but more than that he loved taking pictures, collecting cameras and being the family photographer.

You could always find Chuck during football season watching every game he could find on Saturday and Sundays. He was a diehard Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved them most. He could also tell you the complete history of his beloved Cleveland Browns.

Chuck is survived by his best friend and wife of 34 and a half years, Linda; his four daughters, Nancy (Don) Sherwood of Taylor, MI, Kelly (Larry) Deja of Belleville, MI, Jayme (Jesse) Clark of Wichita Falls, TX, LesLee (Michael) Clark of Petersburg, MI; two sons, Robert (Patty) Hutchinson and William (Shannon) Hutchinson; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, with one on the way, and one great-great grandchild, with one on the way; sister, Barb Campbell, two sisters-in-law, Delores Ferry and Molly (Elward) Smith and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Chuck was preceded in death by sisters, Marilyn Stewart, Janet Belcher, and infant sister Deanna; brothers, Paul, Roy, and Rob Ferry; and his favorite four-legged companions, Suzie the cat and Benny the dog.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Apostolic Church of Flat Rock, located at 24550 Gibraltar Road, Flat Rock, Michigan. His cremated remains will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park.

At the family's request, memorial donations can be made in Chuck's name to the Ronald McDonald House and Hope for HIE Foundation.
