Christine Marie Knapp, age 47 of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday November 24, 2021, at ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born May 27, 1974, in Monroe, Christine was the daughter of the late Axel and Suzanne (Emerick) Peterson. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1992. Christine loved to read and travel, but her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Her daughter, Claire, was the most important person in her life. The two were best friends and inseparable.

To cherish her memory, Christine leaves her loving husband, Ryan; daughter, Claire Knapp; and sister, Karen Peterson.

In addition to her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Peterson.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Larry Detruf will officiate. Burial will follow immediately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroe.
