Chris M. Diulio
July 30, 1948 – December 29, 2024
Chris Michael Diulio, age 76 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, with family by his side at the St. Vincent Medical Center of Toledo.
Born July 30, 1948, in Monroe. He was the son of the late Dominic Diulio and Evelyn (Reaume) Vicari. Chris graduated from Monroe High School in 1966. He continued his education at the Local 671 Plumbers and Pipefitters apprentice program, graduating in 1972. Chris used to be President for the Local 671 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 10 years and in total spent over 54 working years there before retiring.
Chris met and married the love of his life: Pamela Barber on August 1, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They enjoyed going up north to their cabin in Curtisville, MI. They also went to every Monroe County Fair since it started except for 2 years. They raised one son and spent over 55 wonderful years together.
Chris was an avid bowler. He played in the Monroe City Bowling League and started over 50 years ago at Nortel Lanes before playing at the Monroe Sports Center. Chris was the previous captain and bowled his best game at 299. Chris participated in delivering meals to homes called Mobile Meals. Chris was also certified in scuba diving.
In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and going for car rides. Chris liked to watch new movies and went to the cinema every week to catch the new show. He was a huge Elvis Presley fan, and he collected many different albums, DVDS, and watches. Chris liked to watch any sport, but especially the Lions Football Team.
Chris always kept himself busy, and always had a “To Do” list every day. He was a fixer upper and could fix most things. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and three dogs. Chris will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Beloved husband of Pamela Diulio. Loving father of Josh Diulio. Dear brother of Nicki Moyer, Michele Miller, Tony (Darlene) Vicari, and Theresa (John) Lund. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dominic and Evelyn; Chris was preceded in death by stepfather: Joseph Vicari.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1:00 to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 2:00 pm. Officiating is Fr. David Burgard. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery.
