Charles M. Siffer
August 3, 1934 – July 17, 2025
Charles Maurice Siffer, age 90 of Dundee, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Hospice of Lenawee.
Born August 3, 1934 in Leipsic, Ohio. He was one of three sons of the late Maurice and Nellie (Keeran) Siffer. Charles graduated from Monroe High School. A few years later he was drafted in the United States Army for two years, before being honorably discharged.
Charles first worked at Clawson Electric Company for 20 years. He then transferred to Ford Motor Company then to General Motors for 10 years at each place. He was an Electrician for 40 years altogether before retiring.
Charles was a man of faith who strongly believed in God. He was a lay minister as well as a long-time member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Monroe. Charles was a member of the Chrysalis, where he would help minister the community in their spiritual growth. He was also a choir member as well as a prayer warrior and led prayer groups. Charles was also involved in prison ministries.
In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles liked to work in his garden and take vegetables he grew over to St. Joseph Church in Lenawee for those in need. He was also artistic and could draw portraits. In his free time, you could find him shooting billiards or playing cards.
Most importantly, he treasured his family, especially his grandkids. He always brightens up around children and enjoyed seeing them smile. Charles will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones
Beloved father of Mary Ucci, Renee (David) Harnica, Kathy (Michael) Pearce, Lorraine (Steve) Hanvey-Webb, Charles (AnnMarie) Siffer, and John (Sarah) Siffer. Loving grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by brothers: Rhea and Marvin Siffer.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church of Monroe. Instate will start at 10 am with Mass following at 11 am. Officiating is Fr. Kishore Babu Battu. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery.
