Charles “Chuck” Dwayne Gibson, age 64 of Taylor, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn.

Born July 13, 1957, in Monroe, Chuck was the son of the late Thomas and Juanita (McKenzie) Gibson. He was baptized at the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Chuck graduated from John F. Kennedy High School of Taylor in 1976.

After high school, Chuck made his living as a truck driver for various freight companies for about 40 years. Chuck was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked to watch NASCAR and record his outdoor nature shows. Chuck also enjoyed all sports, but he rooted on the U of M Wolverines, Go Blue!

Beloved brother of Shirley (Ed) Massey of Seward, AK, Rita (Kirk) Wasilewski of New Boston, Michael (Tina) Gibson of Taylor, Jeff (Cheri) Gibson of Hubbard Lake, and Bill (Laura) Rock. Loving uncle of David Delong, John Lucas, Marissa Lucas, Anthony Dicello, Emily Dicello, Larry Massey, and Chrystal Maddox. Great uncle to 11 great nieces and nephews. Also survived by his favorite fur baby: Lilly.

Chuck is preceded in death by parents: Thomas and Juanita Gibson.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Rupp Funeral Home beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow at Bedford Memorial Cemetery in Temperance, MI.
