Carol E. Pinchoff
February 8, 1939 – February 26, 2026
Carol Evelyn Pinchoff, age 87 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Brookdale Senior Living.
Born February 8, 1939, in Detroit, MI. Carol was one of three children of the late Karl and Evelyn (Martin) Schmidtling. Carol graduated from Monroe High School as Valedictorian of her class.
Carol met and married the love of her life, Andrew Pinchoff on July 5, 1958, at Zion Lutheran Church of Monroe. They raised a family of two children and spent over 63 wonderful years together before Andrew sadly passed away in 2021.
Carol was first a loving homemaker for her children. She used to work at Farm Bureau, now called the Farm Service Agency of the US Department of Agriculture. Carol was a secretary for 15 years. In her free time, she enjoyed singing as well as sewing. Carol also liked doing puzzles and was an avid reader, reading many different books in a week.
Carol will be remembered for her kindness towards others. She had a big heart and was very giving. Carol will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Beloved mother of Cathy (Charles) Chambers and Bob Pinchoff. Loving grandmother of Virgina Elizabeth Wells, Nathaiel Andrew Wells, Antonina Pinchoff, and Nick Pinchoff. Great grandmother of Evelette, Caleb, Carli, Shane, Emma, Caleb, Kadin, and Gio. Dear sister of Ronald Karl Schmidtling and Gloria Ann Schmidtling. Also survived by sister-in-law, Irene Pinchoff.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; and brother-in-law, Galen Branstetter.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Her remains will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
