Carol Ann Piedmonte, age 87 of Monroe, passed away in the early morning on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.

Born November 6, 1935 in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Norman Payment and Louise (Venzke) Tobin. Carol graduated from Monroe High School in 1954.

Carol met and married the love of her life: Michael J. Piedmonte on May 4, 1957 in Monroe. Carol was a loving homemaker to her husband and five children. They spent over 44 wonderful years together before Mike passed away in 2001.

Carol was a member of the K of C Ladies Knights, the Monroe Rod and Gun Women’s Auxiliary, Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Monroe Senior Center. In her free time, she loved camping with her daughter: Debbie Ann to many different places.

Most importantly, Carol enjoyed spending her quality time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

Beloved mother of Shawn (Lori) Piedmonte, Debbie Ann Barror, Michele (Jeff) Senenfelder, and Renee (Bryan) Brow. Loving grandmother of Jason (Dana) Haman, Stephen Barror, Emily (Cory) McLaughlin, Matthew Piedmonte, Michael Lee, and Amanda Lee. Great grandmother of Joey, Arya. Baylee, and Layla as well as step great grandchildren: Mia, Dane, and James.

Carol was preceded in death by husband: Michael Piedmonte; son: Scott Michael Piedmonte; mother: Louisa (Peter) Tobin; father: Norman Payment; and sister: Sue Ivey.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 8 pm, with a rosary starting at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be on Monday, September 25, 2023, at St. Michaels the Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe. Carol will lie instate at 10 am with the funeral mass at 11 am. Officiating is Fr. Kishore Babu Battu. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Carol are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or to the Goodfellows.
