Carol J. Fahrer
March 20, 1944 – December 12, 2023
Carol J. Fahrer, age 79, of Carleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born March 20, 1944 in Gardiner, Montana, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Lillian Ford. Carol attended and graduated from Taylor Center High School and went on to further her education at Wayne County Community College achieving her Associated Degree in Science. She made her home in Carleton, for the last few years.
Carol was a woman of faith that loved Jesus and was compassionate and caring. Not only did she raise her own children, but she opened her home to the children in the neighborhood. Although mostly a Homemaker, she took great pride in working as a Home Care Aide for many years, working with adults with special needs.
In her spare time, Carol loved to sew, play Scrabble, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed nature whether traveling or camping.
To cherish her memory, Carol leaves her four children: Patricia (Alan) Epperson, Tim (Kim) Anteau, Samantha (Ron) Price and Carmen (Don) Price; two stepchildren, Kim (Mike) Sanderline and Tom (Barb) Fahrer. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Fahrer; stepfather, William Bond; one brother, Richard Ford; one sister, Carmen Magyar, and a grandson, Aaron Price.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home.
