Carmella Eads Obituary

Carmella Marie Eads

August 23, 1943 – November 21, 2022

Carmella Eads, age 79, passed away peacefully, in her daughter’s home, with her loving family by her side, on Monday November 21, 2022.

Born August 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Arletta (DuVall) Volpi. Carmella was raised in Monroe, along with her six siblings. She attended Monroe High School but, as fate would have it, during her senior year, she met the love of her life, Myron Eads, and they were married shortly after. Carmella worked many jobs during her life but most recently, she worked as a machine operator for L&W Engineering until her retirement in 2004.

After marrying on February 16, 1962, she and Myron went on to raise three children. She was a loving and caring wife and mother. The needs of her family always came first and the times she spent with them was her most cherished memories. When her children had grown and she and Myron retired, the two moved to Rose City, Michigan to begin a new adventure. Carmella was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church.

Carmella was an outgoing and generous person. Being a grandmother was her highest honor. She loved her grandchildren and being with them was her favorite thing to do. She loved the Holidays, hosting family reunions, and she loved to dance. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrap booking and collecting porcelain dolls. Her favorite activities, however, always included the outdoors. She liked to hunt and snowmobile.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving husband of sixty years, Myron Eads Sr.; a son, Myron (Karista) Eads Jr. two daughters: Lora (Richard) McNeil and Beth (Tracy) Harvell; two brothers: Robert (Beverly) Volpi and Joseph (Helen) Volpi; two sisters: Della (Danny) Vancise and Marlene (Glen) Cole: eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Carmella is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Arletta Volpi; two sisters: Linda Rodgers and Donna Smith, and a grandson, Richard Allen McNeil Jr.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Rupp Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 form 1 until 6 pm. A Service in her honor will take place at 6 pm with Pastor Michael Steven Payne officiating. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
